Time to Start Shooting Again

Over the last few years we have been a bit of a drudge at Spectrum Photo and Digital Services.
We have been learning new printing techniques and other advanced technologies. As always, work stuff makes it hard to just shoot for the joy of it. Lately some staff have been having fun shooting baby pictures, so we decided to do a camera upgrade and shoot more travel and landscape photography. We got a new Sony alpha a33 to see what the latest and greatest type of prosumer dslr has to offer, so we will be sharing some results ( photos! ) over the next few weeks. The first new item to look at is the availbility to do a auto-bracketed shot to edit as an hdr image in Photoshop. The Sony camera allows an in-camera option of one optimized file or shooting three images in quick succession.
The first conclusion is to stay with 8 bit per channel when saving your final work if you want anybody on the internet to be able to see the photo! You can work in hi-bit modes while adjusting, but the real world still mostly revovles around 24 bit color.
